Don’t you just love it when two of your interests collide! Some of you may remember my post last week about the wonderful Salley Mavor. I was so inspired when I saw her studio that I promptly started ordering felt. Now that I am the proud mama of my very own Go! Baby I started thinking of ways I could do some felt appliqué with these dies.
This is one of my very first attempts with this type of appliqué and I just loved it. I just cut out the felt bare naked and used my Roxanne’s Glue Baste to stick everything down. Next time I do this I might use some fusible interfacing because I found I had to re-glue a few times.I will probably finish this with something like WELCOME on the top..haven't decided yet.
I’m really loving the versatility of the dies as well. The Feather die can be used to make all sorts of flowers in addition to some nifty feathers. The Fun Flowers die can be used single or doubled up to make some super cute flowers.
Check back tomorrow for a THIRD project…think turned edge appliqué. AND on Friday Accuquilt has a Go! Baby for one of you!
