The floral appliqués for Miss Kyra are done on the seams where I joined my Dresden Plate blocks together. Here’s a short tutorial on how I did it:
When you get your pattern, print 2 copies of the drawings. Using a window or a light box, line up the center flowers.
At this point you can trace the pattern onto one piece of paper or use it as it.
Here I taped the pattern down and placed the quilt top over it. I can see through the background fabric ever so slightly. From here I lined the seams up with the stems and made sure the flowers was centered over the corner. After that I just glued it down and appliquéd away. Easy peasy.

I LOVE this!! Can't say I've ever been a real favorite of the Dresden plate before but the way you make yours has converted me big time! Gotta make me some of these. Thanks for ALL of your tuts. Love your work
