Hello everyone. Here is my very first post for Design Wall Monday in 2013. If you haven't guessed it, this is the first applique block for my 2013 BOM, Jingle. I'm pretty busy over here getting everything organized so there is no fabric on it yet.
Here are some new things about this years BOM:
1. There will be a FLCKR group like usual but there will be PRIZES for people who post...I'm expecting a great big package of quilting goodness this week...eep
2. There will be 8 applique blocks and 8 pieced blocks.
3. The first 2 blocks will be ready for downloading at the end of January.
4. The center block, Miss Kringle, is digital only and available at Patternspot:
5. I also have some complimentary felt Christmas ornaments to go with our blocks so stay tuned.
I am so excited about this one!
Head on over to Judy's blog for some wonderful inspiration!

Love the cardinals! I bought my fabric the other day and now I just need to pop over and get Miss Kringle. So looking forward to this years BOM.

Hi Erin,
I tried to contact you through your "email me", but I can't get through. So I will ask my question here.
I have downloaded Miss Kringle via Patternspot and now I want to get started (to maybe finish my centerblock before the end of January...) but there is nothing to be found about the stems: are they 6 mm wide?
I am looking forward to the cardinal block of your designwall, very much American Christmas, we don't have them here. But we have robins in our garden!
Thank you for your answer!

Erin, I am so looking forward to this BOM! Those little cardinals are adorable; I haven't seen any outside my windows this year, there's construction going on behind us. Thank you for being such a great designer and for sharing with all of us.

Erin, I love the block!!! Of course, it helps that I love cardinals (and don't see them where I live), but I'm excited about this BOM!! Thank you!

Thanks for the peek, it looks lovely! I can't believe you are making us wait until the end of January. I think your "big girl job" is interfering with my quilting, lol! ;)

I am so excited about the new BOM for 2013!! love the cardinals. I have my fabric all picked out and am ready to get started. I think I need a 12 step program because I am addicted to your patterns Erin. ;)
Thank you for all the work you put into the BOM.

I could make a whole quilt of Cardinals. My family and friends have started a collection for me because Cardinals frequent the bird feeders outside of my kitchen windows. Your block is beautiful.

Love the sweet cardinals! Wouldn't be a Christmas quilt without them. I, too, am very excited about this pattern series. I think it would be so fun to have a Christmas quilt for someone special to sleep under.

That is going to be a gorgeous block Erin. I can't wait to see this one completed. My Mom's favorite bird was the Cardnial. She would have loved this block already, I can tell.
