I am SO LUCKY. Not only do I get to be an Aurifil Designer this year but I get to be Miss January. This me with Pat Sloan at Market last fall... I’ve been dying to share this since October.

This year all the blocks will be pieced which will be a nice addition to all the appliqué going on around here. Perfect for 2013 because my block of the month, Jingle, is a appliqué/ piecing combo.
We are all going to be using Pat Bravo’s Rock and Romance collection from Art Gallery fabrics. I got to meet Pat at Market too. Here she is in her super cute booth showing off her fabric line.
This year’s theme is Rock and Roll and we had to think of a favorite song to inspire our blocks. Mine was Jumping Jack Flash, but it really could have been anything by the Stones...they have always been my favorite...even though I am a mild mannered middle aged lady. It must be because I grew up in California during the 60’s.

This is a tough one, but I think it would have to be "Down of the Corner or "Who'll Stop the Rain" by Credence Clearwater Revival.

You may not get another fan of this group in your responses but here's my fave: Dave Clark Five. Any song would fit the bill but especially "Glad All Over." I still remember seeing them in concert when I was in the 9th grade, a most fantastic experience!

Congrats! Great block. I love lots of songs and can't think of my absolute favorite=but just say something and it usually triggers a song in my mind ;D.
