So, hello again. Here is a shot of my current project. I finished all the blocks for this and got them sewn together and realized that I didn't have much of those fabric left...which is kind of a bummer since I want to do an applique border. This requires a trip to the quilt shop...yaaaay! But it also requires time and patience, which are sometimes hard to find. Luckily for me a new quilt shop opened that is only 30 minutes from my house. Double lucky for me, they have an awesome collection of basics. So I am back in business with this quilt and starting to work on borders!
One thing this little hiatus from blogging taught me was that I am a "go slow" kind of person. Whenever I feel rushed I do not produce my best creative work. You think this would have been totally obvious to me since HAND APPLIQUE is kinda my thing. But, apparently the slowness also applies to me catching on to things as well.
Anyway, the patterns for all the blocks except the corners can be found here:
The corner blocks are free on the blog somewhere. Just start scrolling around and I am sure you will find them. Meanwhile I will start piecing the first border. I really have to go slow here or I might chop off part of my finger (don't laugh, I have done that more than once). After that, there will be an applique border.
