Hello friends! I’m glad to hear that you all like the Jingle
BOM so far. Here are a few more details. Above you can see my starting point.
This quilt will finish at about 76” x 76”. It will have 8 appliqué blocks and 8
pieced blocks. I’m hoping to get the blocks up 2 at a time with the goal of
having everything to you by October. That way we can all finish our quilts in
time to enjoy them at Christmas. For those of you who don’t want a Christmas
quilt, don’t worry, this quilt will be fine if you use a different color
scheme.

First off, the center block, Miss Kringle is available here:

As far as fabric goes…I kinda hate to say this…but I cannot
give super exact amounts on all the fabrics because…mine isn’t done yet either.
BUT, never fear, I can give you a starting point. Here are my first 3 fabrics…

The green and red prints are from the Nancy’s Holiday
Favorites collection by Nancy Halvorsen for Benartex. You can find them here:
www.fatquartershop.com/Nancys-Holiday-Favorites-Nancy-Halvorsen-Benartex-Fabrics.asp?sid=63451215155846345&Store_id=499
The cream/yellow dot is an old Lakehouse one I had in my
stash that is no longer available…I think any solid that coordinates with your
green and red will be just fine.
For starting, I think the best thing to do would be to find
a good print for the border and large inner triangles. You don’t want anything
too big and busy here. From there I would think about a small scale
coordinating print for the setting triangles and a background solid or small
dot.
Here are some generous fabric recommendations:
green print (inner triangles, outer border): 3 3/4 yds.
red print (setting triangles): 2 3/4 yds.
background (appliqué block backgrounds): 2 1/2 yds
This should give you some of these fabric that can be used
in many different parts of the blocks. Here is a download with these numbers:

For those of you finishing up Mimi’s Bloomers, the final
block will be available next week, the finishing directions will be up soon
after that.
