Sometimes when you live in the west you need to go somewhere that has trees, lots of trees. Luckily for us my husband’s parents live in the White Mountains of New Hampshire (meets the tree requirement) and they have a pool. What could possibly be better? Luckily we had few problems getting there (the return trip was another story) and they had the pool all warmed up for us. For us westerners you learn quickly that when the humidity is stifling there is no better place than a pool (that is if you can muster enough energy to get your suit on). We did all our usual fun things: the Lost River, swim, Polly’s Pancake Parlor, swim, Mt. Washington, swim and I of course went to Keepsake Quilting for a minor fabric binge. It’s always easier to endure a 36 hour trip home (three planes, three cities and one hotel) when you have a suitcase full of new fabric and are fully rested. Thanks Bernie and Arnie!
Sounds wonderful! What a nice vacation.
