This past week in my online class we documented some random childhood memories. One of my favorite memories is of my Aunt Betty taking us to Disneyland. Here’s what I wrote about that and the picture I used.
Disneyland
My mother hated amusements parks so it was a good thing that we had Aunt Betty. She took us to Disneyland every year on the day after Labor Day. She made a huge deal of it too. When were driving down to Anaheim she would promise a dollar to the first person to see the Matterhorn. Of course, we both would get dollars because that’s what kind of person she is. She waited in all the lines and went on all the rides with us. And she bought us all kinds of treats. And, she was incredibly cool to boot, just look at her there with her beehive hairdo and catseye sunglasses. When we got older my dad took us once and it just wasn’t near as much fun as going with her.
Very cool memories!
