It’s no secret that I absolutely love to hand appliqué quilts but I have to admit that sometimes it gets a little boring. When I was appliquéing the border on Bluebird’s Piece O’Cake it took me at least 36 hours. The reason I know this is because I decided to listen to a music class from The Great Courses and it was 36 hours long. It was great, I got to learn A LOT about the history of classical music and finish my quilt. I recently tried to listen to another course but it wasn’t as successful, I kept wanting to stop and take notes. On a recent hand sewing project I started listening to The Lord of The Rings. This was perfect. I sewed the binding on 10 table runners and finished an appliqué wall hanging. Now I am on to The Chronicles of Narnia and I’m in love with my ipod once again.
Awesome! Bonnie got me an "i-home" for my birthday last winter for my sewing room. I love it. I blast my music from my i-pod and can get lost in the sewing.
