It’s official. My quilt “Bluebird’s Piece O’Cake” has traveled more than me this year. I’m not complaining, seriously I’m not. I just found out it was accepted at the Road to California Quilt Show, so it’s off to California. Maybe it can say hi to my relatives for me. I hope you guys don’t think I’m whining, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
Quilt Details: The smaller blocks are an assortment of blocks from Piece O'Cake (Love them). The center and the borders are my own design. I did all the applique by hand and Karen Dovala did the quilting. I'm planning on publishing the center as a small quilt pattern soon.
Congratulations, Erin! It is truly beautiful and I'm happy so many people will get to see it.

Dear Erin,
Glad to hear you will be publishing the center soon, and it is only fitting that such a beautiful quilt would be traveling so much!! P.S. I'm voting for you every day and read your blog every day without fail. Many times I reread the archives and print out directions wherever possible. You have taught me so much through your typed instructions and through your videos. I now do applique! - something I've always wanted to do; but through all my attempts, I was not happy with the results until trying your method. I also love hearing about Rio the Wonderdog. THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!! You are my #1 blog site. I don't have Facebook and I don't blog. Maybe some day . . . .
