Florabunda Fabric Requirements found here.
If you are not paper piecing the sawtooth borders then 4 yards of blue should be good. If you are paper piecing then buy a little more. The requirement for white background fabric is 4.5 yards.

OK I think I have my math right now. I have made new downloads of the center block pattern and the finishing directions. Here they are:
Center block taken down...you can order pattern by visiting my shop (button on left side of blog)
Due to me being a total doofus I will keep the patterns up until January 5th so that, hopefully, everyone will have a chance to download the CORRECT version of these. Also, even though the patterns are going away all the videos and tips will still be up. I’m so glad that people find them helpful!

I know I'm on vacation but I saw this on The Quilt Show Daily Blog and I just had to share it with you. The nerdy part of my heart, which is quit frankly a very large part of it, started beating a little faster...
For the center block, first do the applique and then cut the block to 28.5"

I'm going to go check my math again and I will tell you if I get a different number but the center square needs to be 28" x 28" for this whole thing to work out. I'm sorry if I messed anyone up and they started sewing.

I hope everyone had a lovely lovely holiday weekend.
Since my friend Amy won’t let me share picture of my actual quilt I’m showing you some of the scenes from making it. You can kinda see it blurry in the background….settle down Amy, settle down.
Suffice it to say that it is finished and being quilted as we speak…well not actually AS we speak but you get the idea.

My kids have been teasing me about the status of our decorations. Luckily they have good senses of humor. The above picture is what my tree looked like yesterday morning.

Here is a detail…I wouldn’t let them open the boxes and wrap the presents so they decided to do this. They are very amused with themselves. Seriously, I have no idea what is in those boxes but this is going to be a fun Christmas yet. I just know it.
I have a short design wall Monday post for today. For my McCall’s challenge 3 quilt I needed to re-invent my original entry, namely my Miss Hannah quilt. As I shared last time I re-drafted the block to set on point because I love the secondary designs that on-point blocks makes. Here is my first arrangement of the newly designed blocks.
Hmm… I wonder what it would look like if the flowers pointed out?
I like this but those baskets are bothering me…
I remember a drawing I have from another quilt…I wonder what that would look like here?
I’m beginning to like this…I think I will see this design full scale..
