Is everyone enjoying the Aurifil Blog Hop as much as I am> I have to say this is a nice way for people like me (ones who hate driving) to have the fun without having to spend a whole day driving around. Today's stops are:
* Stitchen heaven http://blog.stitchinheaven.com/blog/
* Quilting Gallery quiltinggallery.com/
I did a little video on how I made the pink flowers for my Aurifil Blog Hop block. Part of why I find applique relaxing is that all my shapes are made like this.
Enjoy.
I will post the thread winners a little later today!
Your videos are great. One trick I learned somewhere in blogland is to put one or two pieces of Nexcare tape on the back of the template. Nexcare can be found next to the bandages in your local pharmacy. You put the sticky side on your template. The other side is textured and keeps the fabric from sliding around under the template, just like the little dots on the bottom of rulers. Thanks for sharing your beautiful patterns. I'm still working on block 1 and enjoying every moment!

Hi Erin:
I have learned so much from your videos. Thank you for taking the time to do them and I really missed you when you were gone the whole week.

Loved your video. Applique scares me but I may give your flower a try. It doesn't look so frightening.

What kind of brush (not neccessarily brand) are you using in your video?
It was great to see that you can correct your mistakes as well.
Thanks for your video!

I do like sewing/quilting with Aurafil. I'm new to this thread and would love to win more colors.

When I use a mylar template, I put a Sandpaper Dot on the back of it to stop it wriggling about! they are meant to be used as Fabric Grippers for Rulers, they are only small and they work really well.
Thank you for the tutorial.
