Happy birthday Erin. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
I'm actually not that big into celebrating birthdays. Family, a few good friends and double fudge chocolate cake make my day.

My favorite way to celebrate my birthday is to pamper myself. I start out with breakfast in bed. Tea and toast brought to me by my husband. My day goes on with total indulgence. I do exactly what I want to when I want to. I call it my gift to myself.

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
No matter how old you get
I'm always older than you!
I was a freshman in high school when you were born, so that makes you young in my eyes. I remember thinking "half a century!" on my 50th. For the last few years, I've generously done my husband's birthday present shopping for him. I simply go online and buy myself some quilting goodies from him to me.
Happy Birthday, Erin! Many more!

Enjoy your birthday tomorrow! Hope you will be spoiled rotten. 50 is a wonderful, balanced number.
My favourite way of spending my birthday is having people around for tea and cake. It is so much fun having people around you, eating and drinking and most of all, having a great time. Sharing your birthday is much more fun than spending it in a quiet way.
I planned a surprise party for my mother for her 50th a few years ago. We met her friends at the local pizza restaurant, and we had pizza and ice cream for her birthday. That was a lot of fun.

Happy Birthday!!! It's all about the family dinner in my house, and the birthday person gets to pick their favorite meal and favorite dessert. Thanks for the lovely giveaway!

My favorite way to celebrate my birthday is to go out for dinner with all the girls in my family - daughters, granddaughters and friends - and then go to a movie after. We've been doing this for many many years now and I look forward to it every year. Since my b'day is Dec. 28, it's always fun to look forward to after the hustle bustle that is Christmas.

Happy birthday Erin! My favorite way to celebrate is with my family, eating a meal of home cooked pizzas after we've all assembled and cooked them together in the kitchen. It's an activity that even my 3 yr old granddaughter can join in with, and I just love having everyone here together.

Erin -
I hope your 50th is every bit as grand as mine was. I'm an April gal, so I was at Quilt Market in St. Louis. They took me to Tony's (a 5-star restaurant) for a sinfully good dinner. Of course, that was after the balloon bouquet in the morning with the black coffin attached to it - filled with stuff like pep pills, prunes, miracle wrinkle fillers - well you get the picture. Anyway, it's going to come, no matter what, so just sit back and enjoy every minute. Happy Birthday!

5 is a fabulous year! My favorite way to spend my birthday is shopping for more fabric, of course! I enjoy looking to my heart's content with no one to say "Are you finished yet?" or "Do you really need more fabric?" while I shop.
Have a great birthday! I hope you spend it in a very special way!

Happy 50th!! Birthday's are fun for me. In the afternoon I'm lucky enough to spend time with all my grandchildren. They make a cake, little homemade gifts, and well we do make a MESS!!! But it's worth it. Then to dinner in the evening with my Pet. (oh wait, I mean my husband). It's a great way to spend the day. Thanks for sharing!!!

Erin, The "fifties" is great. You will really begin to concentrate on "self". My favorite way to spend my day is with my family. We have a nice meal that my girls cook and we just sit around and laugh about times past. It is so fun recalling the fun times we had together.

Age is only a number but know what you mean. I never think of myself as old as I am but once in a while I will have to admit it. Enjoy life and forget the number is my theory!
One special thing that the women in my neighborhood do is when it is your birthday you invite them all to your house for a morning coffee. You make the coffee and everyone else makes some kind of goody to eat plus a card and we sit around the table and talk and laugh and eat. We get to see people we don't see very often and catch up on neighborhood news. I live on a farm in Nebraska and we live several miles apart but this tradition has been going on here for over 40 years before we moved here.
The neighbors don't have to remember your birthday and everyone has such a great time.

Happ Birthday, Erin! We always go to the Spagehtti Factory. They opened in 1969,in Portland OR, when I was 3 years old. I have gone there for my birthday since that time. Minus the years I lived where there was no Spagehtti Factory.

My birthday is November and my friend has a birthday in November 6 days after mine, so we usually get together on a day between our birthdays and go somewhere like to a park and out to lunch. On my actual birthday, it's like any other day and I do whatever strikes my fancy at the moment. I haven't had a party since I was a child.

Happy Birthday! I hope you have a day filled with the things you like to do.
I like to spend some time on my quilty projects and have supper, that is NOT cooked by me, with family and friends. Then top that off with a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. :o)
