« Funky Setting Anyone? | Main | Great Balls of Fire...I've been NOMINATED! »

I cut away my backing also like you - it makes it much less bulky and easier to stick in some quilting in some of those areas also if one wants to do it there.

Being new to all this I'd love to know your favorite way of marking the backing fabric . I have the pattern and am ready to begin.

Just wanted to let you know I voted for you in the awards..for best designer!!! I jsut left the site! You are in my book the best one on the list! I am praying you win that catagory! Your faithful follower Tammie from Texas!

Maybe this should be in your Etsy shop??

Very funky setting and a fabulous way to enlarge and use that oddball block hanging around in the sewing room with nothing else to go with it. Just a note on the bias edging... you need not hide those pesky corners, they are easy to miter just like in celtic knot applique. I happen to like the addition of your berries but you wouldn't HAVE to hade them if the design was better without it.

I agree that this should be available as a pattern. It is a small project that would appeal to busy quilters. I don't know about others, but I am not so impressed with the Book-Around. It just seems like a big marketing campaign so far. I am not too motivated to continue visiting the sites.

Boy you sure make it look easy. I'm itching to try this on a block I started last year and didn't know how to finish it for a wall hanging.

Congratulations on your nomination!

Your work is beautiful and so is your fabric selection (the stripe in particular). All of it is inspiring.

This little quilt is gorgeous! I love the bias around the pieces, what a way to set them off. Your work is wonderful and I'm headed over to vote for you right now.
