First, thanks for all the lovely lovely name suggestions for my new pattern…that was super fun.
I decided to stick with the “Miss” theme here and name this one Miss Sophie after my husband’s grandma, Sophie Scarlato. I also found these terrific pictures of her.
Here she is with her family, the Pacholski’s. Her father is right next to her and is the spitting image of my husband…funny how that works.
Her she is with her nephew Richard. Love the hat grandma!
And here she is with her son’s Jimmy and Jackie and another awesome hat!
Check back tomorrow for a chance to win a copy of Miss Sophie…the pattern…we’re keeping the grandma.
Love your new quilt. The name is great. Thank you for sharing the photos. You have created a very special quilt :)

Your new quilt is beautiful. I love your lovely design and clever use of fabrics. Congratulation! I also loved your history behind the name. Sophie's hats are awesome!

Love the name. My paternal grandmother was a Sophie, too. Loved her dearly. This is one I'll have to get!

Hi Erin
Your work is beautiful. I have ordered the central design for the Tweets quilt and downloaded all the blocks. Thanks for your generosity to share these lovely designs. I am a piecer- but will try this in fusing and machine blanket stitch- perhaps a bit ambitious for a applique admirer- but no do-er

Miss Sophie, the lady, looks a lot like my Grandma. She looks happy to be a Mom and a Grandma.
I like the name for the quilt. It looks like a little girl with a big bow could wrap up in it.

Does your husband have the awesome mustache as well?
The real Miss Sophie was a very pretty lady! The quilt certainly does honour her.
