Happy New Year Design Wall....kinda

Happy New Year Everyone! We are just finishing up our family holiday celebrations as we speak…don’t you just love it that there are 12 days of Christmas? Seriously, this year I baked my first cookie yesterday.

For this week’s design wall I wanted to share a little something new with you. Since I am always trying to grow as an artist I thought I would sign up for some drawing classes this year. About a month ago I discovered Jane Davenport and her lovely online art classes. Jane is a really really fun online art teacher from Australia. She has a variety of classes and you can figure out where to start by following this fun flowchart. If you have this yearning in your heart to do more drawing I suggest you check her out right away. The Fashionistas in my picture are from her class I “heart” Drawing…don’t you think they would make a really fun artsy quilt?

Check back later this week for some more My Tweets info. I realize that many of you had your blocks all cut down to 14” and are a little frustrated by my Applique Border Directions. DON”T WORRY there’s a way to fix things up and just as soon as I find where I left my brain I will get that posted for you. I am definitely planning on having an info sheet download for the beginning of Mimi’s Bloomers so that things aren’t so confusing….once I find my brain that is.

OK OK I am off to help my kids finish college applications...eeep...and find my brain of course.
