Here is a shot of my design wall this fine Monday morning. As you can tell I have been bitten by the Dresden Plate bug (more on that later)….it’s my new kinda sorta obsession….just add that to the hundreds of others I already have. As you can also tell (see appliquéd flower) I am not able to make a quilt that doesn’t have flowers and leaves appliquéd all over it. THAT was an already existing obsession.
Head on over to Judy’s blog and check out all the lovely inspiration. I’m a little nervous about going there in case I pick up even more obsessions…sigh
I'm loving your design wall today - what yummy colors! I hear ya on the obsessions. I need to spend less time reading quilters blogs & more time sewing...but I can't resist. :)

Wow! That's just gorgeous! I've seen tons of Dresden Plates and made my share as well, but there's something about your color combination and the applique that just stopped me in my tracks. I look forward to seeing more of it!

Lovely! I, too, have been bitten by the Dresden plate bug, but I mine don't have any flowers (yet). And stay away from Judy's blog today. I just added two quilts to my "must make these" list!

Bright and fun quilt in the works! It is like a ray of sunshine for winter and the applique flowers look great with the Dresden Plates! But, I have to say the centers you've chosen just make it all POP!

I love the colors! I know the feeling about the need to add applique to every pieced top....I am addicted to applique but I enjoy the process of piecing and the handwork of applique. The best of both worlds.

Love the retro and modern colors/prints. Like being in the 60s/early 70s again with all my wonderful printed bellbottoms and miniskirts. But the applique is going to really set it off! Never seen an applique with the Dresden plate and I really like it.

How pretty, love the fabrics you used and what a great idea to add some applique, seems to me that is just what a Dresden needs, applique! :)

I've been bitten by the Dresden plate bug too! I just did a post today on my dresden plates that I'm doing with the Scrappy Plate Club from Anne Sutton's blog. I love your bright colors!
