So in true Erin fashion I am making not one but two big life transitions at the same time. I’m kinda like that sometimes. As many of you know, I have been doing freelance editorial work for most of the last year. I work with really fun and talented people. It turns out that one of my co-workers was wanting to be more of a freelance work at home type while I have been wanting to be out more and earning a more steady paycheck (so I can pay those college bills they keep sending me). So, we are switching jobs more or less and I will be a full-time worker bee starting on Tuesday. I AM SO EXCITED !!!!!!! This is really my dream job and I will definitely share more about it later.
Part of this transition includes the dreaded wardrobe. I have a confession, I absolutely hate to shop. PERIOD. But, my standard work at home attire is not exactly what you would call acceptable. It consists mainly of jeans with holes, stained polo shirts and flip flops. Attractive I know. So yesterday my dearest friend Amy called me and said we had to go shopping and she would NOT take no for an answer. To get me over the dread she took me to lunch first. Then she took me to her favorite shop. I was completely freaking out at first and afraid I was pissing everyone off by telling them that I didn’t like the clothes they were showing me. Luckily for me the women and my friend Amy were absolutely great at figuring out what would look good on me and still be comfortable. I am happy to announce that I now have the more “professional” looking wardrobe you see above. I know some of you are saying “gosh what a load of pink” so I just want to say that the color is actually raspberry. FYI.
Wish me luck !
