Recently I have been thinking that my appliqué designs would look really nice in felt. When I was in Houston in October I was on a mini felt finding mission. As you might imagine, I kinda need something a little brighter than your standard fare felt. Well, I was NOT disappointed. Here some felt I just ordered from Woolylady…of YUM!
Perfect!!! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

In the past I have gotten wool (not woolfelt which includes acrylic) dyed to order from Karen Poetzinger in Cary NC. She is phenominal. Tho her website (google her name) is about her rughooking, she has taken special orders for hand dyed wool. I imagine if you sent her a fabric swatch she could closely match it. Whereas woolfelt most often is a uniform color, hers includes some variation which makes applique ever so much more interesting. She also uses high quality wools, even overdyeing herringbones, tweed & plaids. All luscious. I bought wools like you show before i learned to applique because they are so beautiful... Like jewels. Enjoy!

Wooly ladies wool is godd quality as well as pretty! It is also dyed all the way thru, so no white edge shows. Enjoy your wool!
