I think my family got REALLY tired of my grousing about my computer and my techno problems...or they actually listened to the VERY specific hints I was leaving....so I am now the owner of a super fancy laptop which I am happily trying to figure out. This is my first attempt at a post.

Blog reader Karen Renninger sent me a picture of her latest completed project. Those are Florabunda blocks with Miss Karen as the center. This is all hand appliquéd and hand quilted. SWOON.
So, for block 12 I used the very last bit of my gradation fabric from My Tweets. The lady I used to buy this fabric from is now out of business so I have been being really thrifty with this fabric. Well, luckily I have found new person who dyes fabric who lives right by where I work! Her name is Janet Jo Smith and she has a website here:

Her fabric is really yummy and she has tons of different types of hand dyed fabrics. Be sure to search around her Etsy shop!
When I was stitching the latest Mimi block I decided to try these needles I have been hearing so much about. They are super wonderful for sewing through really dense fabrics like hand dyes and batiks. I bought them at my local quilt shop but and I am pretty sure you can ask for them at yours too. If you don’t have a local quilt shop I’m pretty sure they are available online.
So, my friend Sherri Driver is a very talented quilter AND her son, Ryan, is a very talented singer!

I looked at the calendar yesterday and had a mini heart attack…anyone else feel the same?
Here is a shot of my design wall today. This is going to be the center block for “Jingle”, next years block of the month. Hopefully I can get more info out and the pattern up in Patternspot this week.
OMG! I just realized that I left off a pair of leaves!
Unfortunately, an unexpected family “event” came up this past week so things might be a little wibble wobble the next few weeks depending on if I need to travel or not.
Mimi’s Bloomer’s final block should be up in the next few weeks as well.
