Jingle Sneaky Peaky

Have you ever had one of those days where you just want to get all cozy and draw all day? Well, I had that kind of day on Saturday so I sketched out the remaining appliqué blocks for Jingle. You can see them rough in the picture above. It made me super excited to work on this quilt!

Where I am going with this...

Many of you have commented and e-mailed asking about this quilt so I am going to fill you in a little. For the longest time now I have wanted to do a big appliqué medallion. Ever since we finished My Tweets this quilt has been in my head and recently on my drawing board. After I finish all that appliqué I am going to set it onto a background and do an appliqué border. Crazy, I know. Even crazier is that I am hoping to get this all done this year so I can offer it next year as a BOM, sort of, more like a section of the month quilt. That way I can step you guys through how to tackle a big project like this and you can see the end result before you sign up. Wish me luck!

Design Wall Monday

Well, here is a shot of my design wall this Monday morning. You can probably tell I am multitasking here. If you look carefully you can see Pieced Block #2 for the Jingle BOM, which will be up on Friday. And that can only mean that the next prize will be available next week. Miss Kringle Problem

Design Wall Monday

So, today begins the big adventure of the McCall's Quilting Quilt Along. Tracee and I are in the studio this week filming. Everyone we work with has been so wonderful and let me tell you, Tracee is SO FUN to work with. So I will start working on Pieced Block #2 as soon as I recover from this little adventure. The picture above is a previous shot of our Quilt Along quilt "in process".

Applique Block 1-The Prize

So,last night I was checking out the pictures on the Jingle Belle's FLICKR group and I have to admit, I was SO IMPRESSED! Way to go everyone!

Design Wall Monday

So, to reward myself for survivng last week, I spent some time on my latest design. The last time I showed it it was only 1/4 done and photoshoped. This is all glue basted and ready to stitch....of course that will probably take FOREVER but hey...I have a high tolerance for tedious activities.
