After I appliqued all these fish I wanted to trim the backgrounds so that the block was 12 1/2” square...since these are set with pieced blocks. I thought the best way to do this would be to cut out a fish and center it in my 12 1/2” ruler.
That way I could put the fish pattern over the fish.

I love your fish blocks. They are so tropical looking. The bright blue background is perfect.
