Several years ago I was at a rummage sale and I found this lovely old cigar box. As I got into quilting it became my sewing box. I even stitched a felt lining for it. Alas, it is a little small for all my stuff right now...and a tad fragile. So, I started searching around for something like it. I discovered Claud’s Unique Products on Etsy a few weeks back and on a whim I ordered a lap desk. As you might have guessed, I do a ton of drawing and wanted a place for all my pens and sketchbooks that doubled as a work surface. It is gorgeous as you can see.
The shop owner, Les, makes all these desks himself. I started corresponding with him and it turns out his wife and her family are avid quilters. So, when I asked if he could make one more like a sewing box, he pretty much knew exactly what I wanted. I ordered one. I can hardly wait. I will post pictures when it comes.
