Design Wall Monday.

I hope everyone in the US is enjoying the long holiday weekend. Here is a shot of my design wall this morning. I'm trying something new here and I am working with some different fabric. I will let you know how it goes as soon as I figure it out myself. It's all very exciting and fun in addition to being fun.

Studio Sampler Lesson 3

 

Swoon!

Oh how I LOVE my job! Being an editor involves a lot of staring at computer screens, figuring out hyphens and checking layouts. Being a quilt magazine editor, however, involves some really fun projects to work on as well.

I can't really show you this project yet...but this is a sneak peak of the fabric. Isn't it yummy? It's Miss Kate by Bonnie and Camille for Moda Fabrics.

Eat More Plants...Chocolate Energy Bars

A friend of mine at work shared this recipe with me the other day. These are like brownies, but better!

2 Cups Medjool Dates, pitted and chopped

2 cups raw cashews

1/2 cup blanched almonds

3/4 cup cocoa powder

pinch sea salt

1/2 cup unsweetened coconut

2 Tbsp vanilla

Place all ingredients in food processor or blender and process until coarse. Add cold water until forms a moist dough. Spread in foil lined 8" x 8" pan. Chill 1 hour. Cut into bars.

I have been trying to consolidate some business stuff around here lately and I logged into my gmail account to check some stuff. I realized that ever since I set up the subscription service people have been sending me lovely lovely emails that I didn't even know about it until just now. I just wanted to thank you all for the kind and encouraging words. I wish I could reply to each one personally, but there was over a years worth.
