On the Mend....

So, life has a way of, you know, being life and last week was no exception. I was all packed and ready for Quilting LIVE and I was EXCITED! Well, then I was completely banjaxed by the head cold from hades. I mean completely BANJAXED!

So, now I am here to apologize to anyone who came hoping to see me. My friend Diane taught the classes and said everyone was lovely.

I will have bog worthy writing soon, once I stop blowing my nose!

What I did with my summer vacation...

 

I had bunches of fun this summer getting ready for the Bursting Star Quilt Along (coming later this year). The fabric we used was Miss Kate by Bonnie and Camille. Isn't it yummy? This video series showcases this really fun pattern, Bursting Star. It's a great way to get up and running with strip peiced diamonds without having to worry about set-in seams. I'm hooked and I know you will be too! Stay tuned for more details.

Design Wall Monday

Hello, blog world friends. Happy September! And back to work for me. Here is a shot of my design wall this fine Monday morning! I'm playing it small here. This baby is 12" x 17". Isn't it fun?

Twitterpated... 2015 and Beyond!

First, I want to thank you all for your lovely, lovely comments when I asked for feedback.  I think I can safely say that most people are game for another quilt and most people are fine with it not being a BOM since it’s hard to keep up. When I thought about it more I realized that to do a good job I think the best plan is to have a block every quarter. That way I won’t be too rushed and I can do a really good job with tutorials and everything. Maybe I should call it a BAQ (Block a Quarter).

Right now I am in the final prep stages for Quilting LIVE and I will get going on the center block the minute I get home!

I am so excited!
