The last several months have been a bit of a whirlwind for me as far as jobs go. I really do think I am the luckiest girl in the world some days. I get to hang out with some of my favorite people and write about quilts. Up until last fall I was an editor for McCall's Quilting. In November I switched to a video content position that culminated in hosting Marsha McCloskey at our Golden, CO video studio.
Now I am back to magazines and am the new associate editor of Quiltmaker magazine! SWOON!
One of the hundred million wonderful things about my job is that I get to meet so many great quilters. Marsha McCloskey is one of my all time quilting hero's and she came to town last week to film a video course on her Radiant Star quilt...SWOON!
Besides my applique addiction I have a bit of a feathered star addiction as well. These actually are pictures from around my house.

Here are some funny things Marsha and I have in common. We both use Bernina sewing machines (she even used mine on set!) and we both own irons that are 20 years old that we love and are unable to find replacements for.
I will keep you posted about when her course will be available. You wont want to miss it!
It's not really my design wall, it's more like my design corner. I like to think of it as my HAPPY PLACE!

As some of you may know I have been on a fitness mission the last 2 years. This week I reached a milestone of sorts. When I started 2 years ago I walked my dog on a trail by my house. It's 3 miles and back then it was challenging to do that every day.
Yesterday I ran it...the whole thing...without stopping.
So my design wall this week is a little 3 dimensional. I decided for the first time in @ 20 years to make a skirt. I forgot how fun that actually is. So now I have this fun summer skirt to wear. I used the Barcelona Skirts pattern from Amy Butler and made the A-line skirt. I am definitely doing more of these!
