I always seem to have a gigantic debate going in my head...machine quilt vs hand quilt.
I like the idea of hand quilting very much. Mostly because I do everything else by hand so it seems a logical choice. BUT I have tried it and tried it and it is SLOW and PAINFUL. Plus, I am loving how artistic free motion quilting has become.
This summer I decided to practice my free motion quilting a little. I made myself a quilt sandwiches and a couple times a week I just sit down and "doodle". It's pretty fun and actually very relaxing.
Gorgeous!

Wow! your practice is beautiful. I have signed up for an online quilting class using templates for domestic machines - so maybe one day I will have a bit of your expertise.

I love the zone that I can get into when I sit down at my Sweet 16.

If this piece is just practice...I think your quilts will be masterpieces! You do an exquisite job of machine quilting. I could only wish to be an iota as good as you! Beautiful work!
