My Favorite TED Talks

Well, once again I spent the entire weekend working on a work project...not that I am complaining since it involved making a QUILT...but, alas, no new progress on Be Happy. I will have pieced blocks 8 and 9 next week. This week I want to share some of my favorite TED talks with you. Up first, Daniel Gilbert. Enjoy!

 

Quiltmaker and I go WAY back

I was going through some stuff the other day when I found this quilt packed away. The first quilt I ever made was from a Quilt in a Day pattern. The second quilt I ever made was from Quiltmaker magazine! It was the FIRST magazine I ever purchased. I loved the pattern so much that I made it 5 more times. What you are seeing here is the 5th version. After making this cute for various new babies in the family I decided I really needed to make it for my son too. It's still one of my favorite all time ever patterns and it is pretty funny that I now work for Quiltmaker. I did not see that coming at the time but I'm sure happy with how things worked out!

Design Wall Monday

Happy Labor Day friends! Now that my little piecing project is over I am THRILLED beyond words to be appliqueing again! I know I still owe you pieced block 8 but I just couldn't piece another thing after that last project. This is applique block 9 and it will be ready for downloading on Friday. Cheers!
