I love your paisley filler! I've never seen thread basting for machine quilting, though. Doesn't your presser foot ever get hung up on the basting thread? Do you thread baste all of your quilts, or just smaller pieces? I always use the curved safety pins but I hate closing a thousand pins and they add so much weight to shove around under the needle when I'm quilting.

This is such a lovely, cheerful piece. I. Really enjoying reading about your quilting approach. Thanks for taking the time to post up all your lovely work. I find the curved pins a nuisance too, big holes they leave behind.
