I know this isn't sewing related but one thing that REALLY helps me stay sane is exercise. Several years ago I really started working on improving my health and was able to lose about 60 lbs in the process. The key was exercise but along the way I found I really enjoyed it too. Last year I decided to buy an inexpensive spin bike. Of course I wanted one of those expensive ones but I couldn't justify the cost. Turns out the cheap one works just fine! Since I always do better with someone telling me what to do I use a phone app to take classes and it's a blast! I figure that it just about counteracts the amount of time I sit stitching.
