I was having a bit of trouble with this block the other day. It just needed a little more red. Well, what better way to add red than by sending in a few ladybugs!

Workshop Wednesday: Storing Templates

For the Basket Case quilt I'm challenging myself to use my existing templates. I've been at this a while so I have A LOT of templates. Recently I decided I needed to organize them so that I can see them and design with them. I thought the pocket protectors that scrapbookers use would be the perfect thing. Now I have all mine stored away but easy to see.

I thought this little block had a nice patriotic feel to it so today is a good day to post it!

I'm planning on making a few more of these with different flowers etc. No grand plan yet so this is just the basket directions and some fun flowers. I'm calling this pattern Basket Case because, well, it's to help us from being basket cases.

Trying something new....

When people ask me where I find my inspiration I always reply "From fabric". The problem with this is that when I can't find any inspiring fabric I'm stuck. So! I thought I would learn to design my own. The top picture is my starting pattern. The one below is it in a repeat. This was unbelievably fun to do!
