Off we go with Block 1!
This pattern is symmetric so you can make a full-sized version by printing out 2 copies and then reversing one. I do this by holding the sheet of paper up to a window and tracing onto the back. After that, align the center flower and off you go!
Here is a download of the preliminary fabric requirements:
It might be a good idea to hold off on the accent border fabric and border fabric until your blocks are done...just to make sure you really love it!
You can buy the center block here:
I'm new to applique and I was wondering how you made the little book. Is it several pieces all applique or was the spine, front and back pieced together? Thank you! I'm super excited for this quilt!

Hi Erin,
I love all your applique. However I'm a little slow--still working on the Home Again blocks. I'm very happy with the way my flowers are looking. I have run into a snag, though. I cannot get the bird beaks right. Is there any way you might have time to show me how to get the perfect shape for beaks? I know you have moved onto other projects, but would appreciate your help with these teeny tiny pieces. Thank you!!!!!
Have a fun applique day! Randy
