

Am I the only one who starts designing a Christmas quilt on December 1st? This quilt idea just popped into my head the second we cleared away the Thanksgiving feast. I'm calling it Peppermint Twist. It's the perfect project to cozy up with and stitch whilst drinking hot cocoa. I feel like we all need a treat right now.
Here is the plan. This quilt will have 3 parts. Each part will have 2 blocks that you will make in 2 different ways. Here are all 4 of the part 1 blocks together.

When we are done we can sew them together into this simple layout.

For the planners among us, here are the preliminary yardage numbers for the block backgrounds, setting triangles and squares, and border:
white: 1.75 yards
red: 2.25 yards
green: 2.25 yards
